Enjoying "Lyfe" after baby: a GB Lyfe Pram Travel System review

This post was sponsored by @GBChildUsa as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received the GB Lyfe Pram Travel System to facilitate my review.

My friend and I both fell into a rut soon after giving birth.  She did not have stroller compatible with her car seat, and I had lost the car seat adapter to our stroller.  We both started thinking It's just not worth it to pack up the baby and jump in the car to go to that play date, to get that coffee, to get those groceries for dinner.  When leaving the house with a new baby seems too difficult, that's when you should turn to Babies R Us to try this BG Lyfe Travel System.  New moms need fresh air, need groceries, and need to continue doing the things they love outside of the house!

I was really excited to try this travel system.  Leaving the house with now two children requires quite a bit of preparation and confidence!  Additionally, I developed "Mother's Thumb" tendinitis, so my ability to carry children and push strollers is compromised.  Often, I am using one hand to push Sophie in the stroller and the other to hold Luke's hand.  Luckily, this stroller has a great turning radius, can be maneuvered with one hand, and is light enough for me to throw in the car by myself.

Life didn't slow down after having Sophie.  She comes along for preschool drop off, our walks to the park, grocery shopping, and play dates.  When we first tried out the travel system, there were many things that I noticed right away:
  • It was easy to assemble.
  • The sunshade has great extension.  There is even a portion that has netting to make the stroller more breathable.
  • The design is sleek and modern, I definitely feel like I am pushing a "cool" stroller!
  • I like the thinner handle on the car seat that makes it easy to carry.
  • The car seat sits a bit more vertical than our previous system.
  • The car seat and base are narrow, creating more room in the backseat.
  • The stroller is higher from the ground, Luke loves the better view.
  • Really great storage space underneath!
  • The "break" in the back feels sturdier than I'm used to, so I am confident that the stroller won't accidentally start rolling.
  • I like the bar across the toddler seat.
  • The handle bar height worked for both me and my tall husband.
  • We chose the clean "charcoal" color but it is also available in an eye-catching "merlot" red.

The system is especially convenient because of its versatility.  Sophie's car seat can fit in the stroller, she can lay flat in the pram portion, or Luke can sit in it as a toddler stroller!  Each option can face forwards or backwards and the toddler seat reclines.  The pram option is new to me.  I liked that Sophie could fall asleep flat on her back, or could play with nearby toys!  She seemed more comfortable with the extra space and freedom to move.

Overall, I was impressed with the GB Lyfe Pram Travel System.  I think a good quality, safe, easy-to-use, and versatile travel system can really make all of the difference for any new mom!
