6 Steps to Cheap and Easy "We've Moved" Postcards

I'm so proud of the "We've Moved" postcards I made!  I think they came out really nice, and the price beat everything else out there! Here's how I made them, and how you can too!

1.  Download the Waterlogue App.  I've wrote about this App a few times already, because I think it's awesome and I use it all of the time.  Take a picture of your new home and instantly turn it into a watercolor painting.

2.  Go to VistaPrint.  Search for "postcards."  Click "Use your complete Design."  We used Standard Size and Size. Choose the orientation (we used horizontal).

3.  Open PicMonkey or another editing program.  In PicMonkey, I opened in design and chose a 5.5 x 4.2 in size to match the postcard formatting.  On the front, I added some text that said "home.sweet.home" in Geo Sans Light font and "the Gill family has moved" in La Belle Aurore font.

4.  On the backside, using the same method, I put a photo of us taken by Ashley Largesse and faded it.  I added a "to" area with 3 lines and signed our names at the bottom.  In retrospect, I didn't leave enough room for my return address stamp and it does cover some of my head. Leave enough room!

5. Upload the image to the front and back of your VistaPrint postcard.

6.  I used recycled matte stock.  I had already purchased an address ink stamp from The Vinyl Company that I knew I wanted to use.  The other stock is glossy, and I had read in the reviews that this is difficult to write on.  If you plan on writing on the postcards, use the recycled matte stock.

I'd love to see your creations!
Use my VistaPrint link above and we each get $10 off our next purchase!
