Livin' large

I didn't realize that Luke would inherit my husband's height right away.  I guess I thought he would grow tall during his teenage years.  Regardless of what I thought, Luke outgrows his clothes very quickly.  These are my favorite of his pajamas:
They are so soft and comfy, but the feet don't fit him anymore!  I decided to try and keep these PJ's around a bit longer.  Here's how:

1.  Cut off the feet leaving about a half inch of extra fabric on the bottom.

2.  Cut the seam down the leg about 4 inches long (on the opposite side of the zipper if there is one).

3.  Sew a 1/4 inch seam on the bottom of each leg.

4.  Turn the pajamas inside out and sew the leg seam back together.

Replace with slippers or socks to keep those baby feet warm!  Need slippers for your little one?  We just got these from this Etsy shop.  They stay on Luke's feet and have an Ugg-like soft fur inside.  There are a ton of different fabrics and thread colors to make a unique pair.
